Magnetosilica-DNA beads have been developed for automatic DNA/RNA separation like genomic DNA, plasmid DNA, total RNA, viral DNA or PCR-products. DNA/RNA binds to the silica surface under high salts conditions (5 M guanidinium thiocyanate). The ferromagnetic beads have excellent magnetic properties and are compatible with most of the automatic DNA separation systems.
