Magnetofluid-Ion

Magnetofluid-Ion contains magnetic nanoparticles which are stabilized with multivalent low molecular weight ions such as phosphates or carboxylates.
Serum proteins form a self-assembling cover around these magnetic nanoparticles so that Magnetofluid-Ion is injectable for in vivo applications such as MRI diagnostics.
Depending on their isoelectric point (pI) antibodies and other proteins can form hetero-polar bonds with Magnetofluid-Ion.
Because they have no polymer coating, these magnetic nanoparticles can be incorporated in other carrier vehicles such as liposomes for magnetization without interrupting of the liposome layer.
